Local 400 Committees 

The Local 400 Committees are the tools through which policies and programs aimed at strengthening our Union are put to work. They fulfill their responsibilities to the membership by implementing activities developed to seek the social, economic and political goals of the UAW.

Community Action Program:
The Community Action Program is the political-legislative arm of Local 400. The CAP Committee strives to keep the membership informed and encourages them to get involved in issues and positions of public officials. Also contacting your Congressman & State Representatives is a couple clicks away.

Civil Rights:
The Civil Rights Committee serves as guardian over the local's commitment to assure members full rights regardless of religion, race, creed, color, sex, political affiliation, national origin, age or handicap.

Community Service:
The Community Service Committee works through public and private organizations in providing service to those members and their families in need, as well as the community in which we live.

Veteran's:
The Veteran's Committee provides information to veteran's and their families as well as serving various veterans' organizations in the community.

Women's Committee:
The Women's Committee helps to promote greater understanding of the UAW's policies and programs and to further the objectives of our Union in the our community. They conduct programs which are of special interest to women.
